DIY Epoxy Garage Floor Coating
Epoxy garage floor coating are as easy to apply as paint, but are much more durable and last much longer. Clean the garage floor thoroughly with a broom and shop vacuum. Fill cracks in the concrete floor with concrete patching compound and let dry according to instructions’s manufacturing.
Prepare before to epoxy garage floor coating, clean any grease, oil or other contaminants from the soil surface by the TSP. Mopping the floor with a vacuum cleaner using a stiff brush. Rinse with a hose and allow the floor to dry completely. Use a solution of urticaria acid and water mixed according to instructions manufacturing, to record the entire soil surface. Work the solution on the surface of the floor a stiff brush or broom, then rinse with a hose and let dry. Repeat the process a second time after thoroughly rinsing the floor.
Pour epoxy primer on the floor and spread evenly over the entire floor with a roller. Use a paintbrush to apply primer on the edges where the roller can not reach. The primer ensures correct adhesion of the epoxy garage floor coating. Allow the first coat to dry completely following the recommendations of manufacturing, then vacuum the floor to ensure that no contaminated on the surface. Mix the epoxy coating according to the instructions manufacturing. Pouring a portion of the mixture into a mold roller. Apply uniform long, overlapping strokes to completely cover the soil surface coating. Let the fully coated floor.
